Army Services
Additional buses on demand by the Army, is also provided anytime, to reach the troops to Zeema, Rangmarange, Lachen, Lachung and Serathang.
Trucks and Tankers
Beside Bus Services, SNT also operates trucks and Tankers within and outside the State. SNT has hire contract agreements with the Army and GREF (Border and Organization) which is subject to amendments in terms and conditions annually.
The SNT trucks and Tnkers are carrying Army store goods, fuel products and transit from the hot a plains of Siliguri(west bengal) to the high altitudes and chilling border areas of Sikkim very efficiently.
SNT trucks are the backbone and have a great contribution in various construction works of GREF within the state. SNT also hires private truck under SNT supervision to reach the demand of Army and GREF. More than 80% of carriage works of NHPC are made by SNT trucks and Tankers under SNT supervision at Legship Hydel Project and Teesta Stage V.SNT provides transportation to all the Sikkim Government Organizations within and Outside
Public Notification
(a) EXGRATIA
The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim on 17th August 2012 had made an announcement of grant of Ex-gratia payment of Rs. 2 lakhs to the next of kin of drivers killed in road accidents. The payment of Ex-gratia was intended to give immediate relief to the next of the kin family of the deceased driver and as a gesture of welfare initiative by the government. However, the Ex- gratia amount was later on increased to Rs. 3 lakh vide Notification No. GOS/MV/T/2015- 16/Adm./285/15 dt: 01/09/2015 and its addendum issued vide No. GOS/MV/T/2015- 16/Adm./285/34 dt: 16/10/2015
