I wish to lodge a formal complaint regarding the conduct and functioning of the Village Revenue Officer (VRO) in our area.
The VRO has consistently displayed an unprofessional and negligent attitude towards the public. Despite repeated visits to the office, legitimate work is deliberately delayed without any valid reason. Citizens are often made to wait for long hours unnecessarily, even when the required documents and formalities have been completed.
There is a widespread perception among the public that official work is intentionally delayed with the expectation of receiving illegal gratification (bribes). Such conduct, if true, is a serious misuse of public office and undermines the trust of citizens in the government.
Public servants are expected to discharge their duties fairly, transparently, and within the prescribed timelines. Instead, the continuous delays, lack of accountability, and disrespectful treatment of citizens have caused significant hardship and inconvenience.
I request the concerned authorities to conduct a thorough and impartial inquiry into the functioning of the VRO, verify the complaints made by the public, and take strict disciplinary action if any misconduct or corruption is established. Necessary steps should also be taken to ensure that public services are delivered efficiently, transparently, and without harassment.
I hope this complaint will be treated with the seriousness it deserves and that prompt action will be taken in the interest of justice and good governance.
